The A6VE is the plug-in version of the A6VM variable motor: a bent-axis unit designed to mount directly inside a mechanical gearbox, saving space and eliminating an external coupling. It is common on track drives, slewing gears and winches in excavators, cranes, drilling rigs and forestry and marine equipment. The bent-axis design gives high starting torque and good efficiency at both maximum and minimum displacement, and the wide swivel range allows a large speed spread from a single motor.
Controls include HD hydraulic pilot, EP electric proportional, HA automatic high-pressure related control, EZ two-point and HZ hydraulic two-point, with options such as pressure cut-off and speed sensing. A6VE Series 63 units are frequently replaced like-for-like in Malaysian mobile fleets; we can also cross-reference to the current Series 65 or 71.
