A check valve lets oil pass in one direction and blocks it in the other. It is the simplest component in a hydraulic circuit and one of the most useful: holding a load up when the pump stops, protecting a filter or cooler from reverse flow, separating two pumps feeding the same line, and creating back-pressure for pilot signals.
Standard, pilot-operated and sandwich types. A plain check valve (Rexroth S series) is a spring-loaded cone with a fixed cracking pressure. A pilot-operated check valve — SV and SL — adds a pilot line so the valve can be forced open on demand, which is how a cylinder is held leak-free at height and then lowered under control. Sandwich-plate versions Z1S and Z2S mount directly under a directional valve to lock one or both actuator ports. Screw-in cartridge checks fit manifold blocks where space is tight.
What we need to quote: type code or material number, nominal size and connection (threaded, subplate to ISO 4401, sandwich plate or cartridge), cracking pressure, flow rate and operating pressure, plus the pilot ratio if the valve is pilot-operated.
