The Rexroth 4WE 6 is the workhorse directional spool valve of industrial hydraulics: a solenoid-operated 4/2 or 4/3 valve in nominal size NG6, mounting to the ISO 4401-03 (CETOP 3 / NG6) subplate pattern. If a machine has a manifold block, there is a good chance most of the valves on it are 4WE 6.
Choosing one comes down to four things. First the spool symbol — E, J, H, G, EA and the rest describe what the valve does in its centre and end positions, and whether the actuator ports are blocked, open to tank or open to pressure at rest. Second the actuation: single or double solenoid, spring return or detented. Third the voltage — 24 V DC and 230 V AC are the common stocks, with 110 V AC and 205 V DC also available. Fourth the connector: DIN EN 175301-803 plug, DEUTSCH, or an integrated cable. Wet-pin solenoids and a manual override are standard on the range.
Typical ratings are up to 350 bar on ports P, A and B and flow to roughly 80 l/min, but the permitted flow depends on the spool and the switching performance limits in the datasheet — send us the full type code and we will confirm against the correct series.
