The Bosch Rexroth AZPF is the mid-frame size of the SILENCE external gear pump range — the pump you will find on most standard power packs, mobile machines, presses and general industrial units. External gear pumps are fixed displacement: they deliver flow in proportion to shaft speed, with no control to set up and very little to go wrong, which is why they remain the default choice wherever a variable pump is not justified.
Reading the type code. An AZPF number carries the displacement in cm³ per revolution, the direction of rotation (right- or left-hand, viewed on the shaft end), the shaft type — parallel key, splined or tapered — the mounting flange, and the port arrangement and thread. Multiple-section pumps stack two or more gear sets on one drive shaft to feed separate circuits from a single motor, and appear in the code as additional stages. Every one of these has to match: a pump with the right displacement but the wrong rotation or shaft will not go on the machine.
What we need to quote: the full type code or material number from the nameplate, or if the plate is unreadable, the displacement, rotation, shaft and flange details plus photographs of the pump and its ports.
