The AZPW is Bosch Rexroth's low-noise external gear pump variant. It uses an optimised gear geometry to reduce pressure pulsation and the tonal noise typical of gear pumps, which makes it a good fit for forklifts, municipal vehicles, aerial platforms, indoor industrial machines and any application where operator comfort or noise regulations matter but a fixed-displacement gear pump is still preferred for cost and simplicity.
Selection points are the displacement, direction of rotation, shaft, flange and port configuration, and whether the pump is single or part of a multiple-pump build. If you are replacing a standard AZP pump to reduce noise, check that the mounting interface and displacement match; in most cases the AZPW is a direct fit.
