The 4WRSE is Bosch Rexroth's pilot-operated, high-response servo-solenoid valve, available in sizes NG10, NG16, NG25 and NG27. A direct-operated servo-solenoid pilot stage drives the main spool, and position feedback on the main stage keeps the dynamic response close to that of a much smaller valve while handling the flows needed on large presses, die-casting machines, plate mills, marine and offshore equipment and heavy test rigs.
Key configuration points are the main spool type (zero-lap or positive overlap), nominal flow, pilot oil supply and drain (internal or external), the command signal and the integrated electronics (OBE) variant. Because the main stage is controlled in closed loop, the 4WRSE is well suited to position and force control on hydraulic axes that a standard proportional valve cannot follow accurately.
