Choosing by range matters more than any other single spec: a gauge should normally run at 25–75% of full scale for good accuracy and long Bourdon-tube life, so a 250 bar hydraulic system is better served by a 0–400 bar gauge than a 0–250 bar one that sits at the top of its dial all day.
The ranges below cover everything from low-pressure pneumatics, water and lubrication lines through standard industrial hydraulics up to very-high-pressure test rigs and presses, plus vacuum and compound gauges for suction lines and pump inlet monitoring. Within each range you will find dry and glycerine-filled gauges, brass and stainless steel wetted parts, and the common dial sizes (40, 50, 63, 100 and 160 mm) with bottom or back entry and NPT or BSP process connections.
What we need to quote: the maximum working pressure and any pressure spikes, dial size, process connection (thread size and standard), mounting position (bottom or back entry, panel or surface), liquid filling if the system vibrates, and the medium and ambient temperature. A photo of the existing gauge dial is usually enough for us to match it.
