Wika pressure gauges with very high measuring ranges above 400 bar, such as 0–600, 0–1000 and 0–1600 bar scales. These gauges are used on high-pressure test benches, hydraulic bolt tensioning and torque tools, jacking and lifting systems, hydraulic presses, high-pressure water jetting and cleaning units, and pump test rigs where standard 400 bar hydraulic gauges would be over-ranged.
At these pressures gauge construction becomes safety-critical. The usual specification is a stainless steel solid-front safety case with blow-out back, a helical or heavy-wall Bourdon tube, glycerine filling, and a restrictor or snubber in the connection. Overload protection and the right connection thread (often 1/2 NPT or high-pressure fittings) matter more than dial size, and gauges should be range-selected so the working pressure sits at roughly half scale.
